Outcome of the Training Session
- At the start of the program, most of the participants were not able to share their ideas and opinions on various aspects of the Hospital (may be due to inhibition/shyness/lack of confidence). However, as the program went on, they began slowly interacting within smaller groups and later started to share ideas with the entire group of doctors.
- Topics such as “Control at Workplace”, “Attitudes towards Healthcare”' and “Time Management'' were very constructively debated.
- The participants actively participated in the role-plays of “Communication in Medical Profession”, related it very well to their daily functions and realized the importance of verbal and non-verbal communication at workplace.
- The questionnaires on “Attitude towards Healthcare” and “How good a Listener are you” helped the participants introspect their behaviours and attitudes, however they were also committed to make improvements to make them selves more effective.
- The PG doctors shared that the training program gave them an insight into the various skills and behaviours that are very essential to become an effective doctor.
- A few doctors, who had very strong opinions and were not able to agree with the other participants, accepted that attitudes would not change overnight and a conscious effort in the right direction will definitely help in adapting to the right attitude.
- Almost everyone made a very conscious effort in setting a “SMART Goal” for them selves, analyzed the expected obstacles in achieving their goals.
