Rajiv Aarogysri
Rajiv Aarogysri health scheme was started at Niloufer Hospital in May 2007. Our hospital was empanelled for extending speciality services to under privileged children of White Card holders in Pediatrics, Pediatrics Surgery and Obstetrics and gynecology.
 
Niloufer Hospital - the institute of child health for women and children has around 200 highly experienced, senior and skilled faculty extending services.
 
It has six units of Pediatrics with huge emergency service unit,Pediatrics intensive care and neonatal intensive care catering to average of 1000 out patient and 100 admissions per day. There are speciality clinics like asthma clinic, adolescent clinic, HIV clinic, genetic clinic etc. The hospital also has the best Pediatrics surgical team in the state. The OBG department is also doing exemplary service.
 
Pediatrics surgery Department has started from May 2007, has registered 1229 cases till date:

We are the only teaching hospital in the government sector which has exceeded the targets by the DME for Aarogysri Health Scheme for the months of June and July but we need to achieve more upto 30% in near future as the government of Andhra Pradesh desires.
 
The Rajiv Aarogysri health scheme has opened new hopes for quality medicare for the vulnerable children and mothers. Under this scheme patients have special privilege for attention by staff. All the investigations necessary are done free of cost for the patient. All the drugs however costly, are indented and provided free of cost to the patient including follow up drugs after discharge for 1 year. Transport charges are also given to the patient.
 
Ramco, Mithra and beneficiary at time of discharge. Daily reporting of performance of all the units are displayed to create a competitive spirit.
 
The scheme has provided incentives to the staff of all cadres first time in the government sector. This feel good factor motivates the government employee to contribute towards the institute. The scheme also provides funds for improvement of departments and hospital. There is no lobbying for funds, no upper limit the claims are directly paid to the hospital by insurance company.
 
For the first time in the government sector the staff can have satisfaction regarding treatment given to the patient, can apply all his skills with whatever materials and instruments needed. It is possible now to improve the ambience of the hospital to give a new corporate look. The attitude and involvement of staff which the scheme desires shall also helps to project client friendly image of the hospital.
 
The nature of the programe which is all online makes the doctors computer savvy. All the data of the hospital and cases registered are computerized and available at the click of the mouse.
 
For the first time in the government sector the staff can have satisfaction regarding treatment given to the patient, can apply all his skills with whatever materials and instruments needed. It is possible now to improve the ambience of the hospital to give a new corporate look.

  • Provision of safe cool drinking water in all wards.
  • Computerization of the hospital.
  • Transforming attitude and the ambience to a more modern corporate out look.
  • Land scaping of the courtyard and revival of kids zone.
Rajiv Aarogysri Scheme is a boon to the patients, staff and institute. However the experience for the last two years has given inputs for making the scheme more effective and friendly to all the beneficiaries. On critical analyses, revising the packages, and some changes in the procedure for new born etc is needed.

Above all Rajiv Aarogysri health scheme is one of its kind successfully implemented in our state and our institute is striving to contribute to maximum extent.
