The Niloufer Hospital is a premier institute for child and women in the state of   A. P, rendering services to the poorest of the poor coming from all over the state of A.P, boarding districts of Karnataka and Maharastra. It is also one of the renowned teaching institute in the country bringing out quality pediatrics, pediatrics surgeon and gynecologists. To enrich the services and to give comprehensive health and education the hospital has various other related clinical as well as non – clinical departments.

It is also one of the few teaching institutes in the country renowned for bringing out quality pediatricians, Pediatric surgeons and Gynacologists. To enrich the services of comprehensive patient care, training & research in medical education, the hospital has various clinical as well as non clinical departments which support the integrated services.

It was founded by the Princess Niloufer the second daughter-in-law of Nizam of Hyderabad in 1949 started functioning in 1953 as a 50 bedded hospital with a vision to meet the health needs of mother and child.

During the period of 60 yrs it has transformed itself into a premier institute due to relentless and coordinated efforts of its team of faculty & staff. Today it is a 500 bed strength hospital with occupancy rate of 200% & every day more then 100 cases are admitted. ie 1000 Outpatients & 1000 inpatients.
